Devon is on the move!

Devon is a monkey, he loves to hang upside down and hold things with both his hands and feet. We all call him "Monkey". The other day Hailey tells Kirk that the monkey is outside by himself, Kirk says there isn't a monkey outside, and Hailey says yes there is...see and shows Kirk, Devon, and says see, the monkey is outside. Devon was sitting in his circle toy.

Devon has learned how to crawl, nothing and no one is safe now.

I apparently can't take my eyes off of Devon for a minute. He's everywhere. I turned around in the computer chair to check on Regen who was sitting in the high chair and turned back and there he was. The other day he was choking on his own sock that he pulled off his foot and shoved in his mouth and then couldn't pull it out. A couple weeks ago he ate the tag off of one of his blankets and was choking on it!
I was unloading the dishwasher the other morning and April came with Devon. She set him on the floor and I turned to talk with her and Alanna came around the corner and said "Devon!" and I turned around and this is what we saw.

Our Halloween Party

Here are the girls in their mustaches. They didn't want to wear costumes.

These are rice krispy mummies.

Aubrey and David wanted to throw a Halloween party for Alanna and some friends. We had the party on Saturday night. We played murder in the dark and Skeleton in the closet. David hid in the shower and around corners and scared us all. Aubrey had a good time creating the cupcakes.
The girls were pretty twisted in this game of Halloween Twister.

Some yummy looking treats.
Aubrey and David in the mummy wrap game.
Alanna is wrapping me up in toilet paper for the mummy wrap game, but Ashley and Graham won.
After about 10 trys Alanna finally got an apple.
Angie and Hannah are tied at the donut eating contest.

Another trip to the Farm

We went to Tolmachoff farm on Saturday. Here is Kris and Jamie and all the kids. Go to their blog to see more pictures. The kids had so much fun.

They each picked a pumpkin, it took careful inspection and evaluation to find just the perfect one. They seem happy with their choice.

Tolmachoff Farms

Regens first pumpkin picture, she wasn't too thrilled with it, but how cute.

I tried to wake him up and he wouldn't, so I sat him here, and in his sleep he put his foot on top of this pumpkin, so cute.
It's like a ball pit, only filled with dry corn.
What an interesting sensation it was to step and roll around in dry corn.
Alanna chose this cute little pumpkin, she wants to draw a face on it.
Jesse chose this green and yellow gourd over a pumpkin, interesting huh?
I told them they could pick a little pumpkin or a gourd. They both chose a green and yellow gourd.
This is their version of a train ride, led by a tractor. There had to be at least 15 of these tin can things and he had them going in a circle and in the shape of an S for a little while, they loved it. Samantha would have nothing to do with it.
Devon loved turning the steering wheel, and he didn't even cry when the tractor started.
We had so much fun, and they had such cute ideas for picture taking and activities that we are going to bring the whole family in a couple of weeks. Kris and Jamies kids will love it here.
What a fun idea, riding bikes through a hay maze. Alanna is helping Samantha.

They had two of the cutest little black piglets. I couldn't get the kids to look up at me for anything, they wouldn't take their eyes off the little piggies.

A day in my life

My day begins with these two babies, starting at 6:15am. These two are the joy of my life, but boy do they keep me busy. Regen is two months and Devon is 6 months. Some days are more trying than others, today was a good day.

Devon is enjoying his breakfast of peaches. He is such a cute and roly poly baby. He is 6 and 1/2 months now.

Today we went to Borders for story time. I'm pushing a double stroller, and you can't see Regen behind Devon, but she's there. Aubrey does the story time at 10:30 every Wednesday.

Even Regen enjoys story time. I took Alanna with me, she's on fall break this week.

I've been watching Jesse since he was two months old. He just turned 2 Saturday.

After Aubrey reads a few stories, they get to color. Boy do they like that.

The kids had a great time at story time, thanks Aubrey.

The kids have different areas they can play in such as the kitchen area, dress up, blocks and trucks and puzzles, beads and the fine motor skill activies which are done at the table, but the train center seems to be the favorite.

We have story time every day if not a few times. Once a week we go to the library to get some new books.

In the afternoon after naptime, the kids go back outside for popsicles and more fun. We bought this play center last year, it has two swings, a rock wall, a rope type ladder, a regular ladder and a twirly slide. Underneath, there is a sandbox spot and a picnic bench. Jesse just turned two and has all of a sudden discovered swinging, he loves it.
This is Hailey, she's 2 and 1/2 and she's been coming for two weeks now. She is an only child but her parents want to be pregnant right away. Samantha loves having another girl to play with and she's potty trained...yah!

This is the nicest time of year. The weather is beautiful and the kids enjoying playing outside more when it's not so hot. Samantha can only go down the twirly slide if I'm standing near her. She fell off, hit her head on the brick and gave herself a concussion a few months ago. She had to have a cat scan, it was scary. Just thought it would be fun to show everyone what a day looked like in the Juchau household. Now I need to get my math homework done.

April and Damon move out

Not that I'm happy or anything, but they finally found a place of their own. Okay, I'm happy, but more for them. It's awfully hard to live with your parents for a year right after being married. It's stressful, especially on the newlyweds. April will have to post pictures of their new place. It even has room for their dog and the horses! It has 3 bedrooms, two bathrooms, and two living rooms. The kitchen has new appliances and has lots of room. It also has a washer and dryer. It's about 15 minutes west of us. I watch Devon, so she drops him off before she goes to work. Alanna is now in the "planning and gettin ready to move in the room" mode. She has plans to paint the walls; two sky blue and two maybe a soft lime green or sherbet orange. She loves polka dots and stripes. She wants to do one wall with circles. She has plans for her dad to build her a window seat too. And she would like some new white bookcase shelves. Maybe a trip to Ikea is in order.
